Minting Bonhomie*~by Constancio Sulapas Asumen Jr

DXXIII ~> Minting Bonhomie*

DXXIII ~> Minting Bonhomie*
(Opus523 ~> Minting Bonhomie)
(1)
What makes you tick is not your cup of tea
That for one while the shadow of your smile
Brings forth to life that quaff of bonhomie
Urging you reconcile faint hints of guile;
Making your steps feel lighter every mile:
Within this world, you find a proper place;
To mold the compromise you can embrace!
(2)
Through vortices of misbegotten schemes
Defiant of the counsel of your peers,
Braving the odds looking for better dreams
You mollify the fountain of your tears
When you defy quintessence of your fears:
This universe — of bonhomie replete;
Yet without people, never is complete!
(3)
Proof of the pudding is in the eating;
Thus never look a gift horse in the mouth.
What you discover might prove deflating,
To your ego when proved hugely uncouth;
Lending clout to exuberance of youth:
Minting bonhomie proves most redundant
When and where it’s extant, nay, abundant!
