Overdue

Tomorrow you are arriving on a train
All of our lonely days and nights are over
No longer fated our hearts to refrain
Come let us dance in a sweet field of Clover

We’ve been apart for a while now and I feel that we’re both long overdue so let’s just spend a while in each other’s arms and then do whatever we would both like to do

I wish to look into your beautiful eyes and take your sweet hand in mine, give you a kiss on those luscious red lips and share a great bottle of wine

Let’s just sit for a while tell each other stories about what’s happened since we’ve been apart and as the New Moon shines through into the night I’ll paint myself onto you like Monet often did when painting a canvas

I don’t plan to hurry I don’t want to the rush so be patient my lover as our bodies brush like two falling stars that collide in the night let’s do it tomorrow and let’s do it right, we both know we’re deserving and long overdue, come and lay by my side and I’ll make love with you
