Daily missive breaks into the weekend for Saturday the 25th of May.
Seen through windows
Blank looks
On welfare faces
Join the queue
Of strangers
Waiting in line
For soup at the kitchen
Gathered in spaces
Warming hands
Around fiery braziers
Under the arches
Of a thoroughfare
With drivers
Seen through windows
Picking noses
Wearing blank looks
Reading online books
As they wait
For the green light
To pass go
Enclosed in metal jackets
To protect
Empty hearts
Where does it start
Who is following
Who is chasing whom
When is it different
On the outside
Looking in
Or on the inside looking out
Perhaps it is all the same
In the end
A matter of interpretation
Or is that the privilege
Talking
Should you dig
Your hand
In your pocket,
Not that you carry much
In the way of money these days,
Or keep walking
