The Story of the Bells~by Patrick Kevin O’Shea

The Story of the Bells

Image may contain: sky, outdoor and nature

The bells will toll for young and old
Across the land their story told.

The buds will start to dress in Spring
As vibrant bells will dance and swing

Happy bells will ching and chang !
For baby births across the land.

In Summer time the bells up high
Will sing their song for smiling brides.

Across cobbled streets where people meet
The bells will swing and chime in beat

As Autumn blows her rustling leaves
The warning signs with bells at ease…

Then Winter creeps as people weep
Dressed in black, for souls to keep.

The bells will toll and roll n groan
As they moan and writhe, alone

Across all lands with words so bold
As stories toll for young and old…
