NATURAL WONDERS
Our neighborhood peepers have stopped,
Was the cold snap too much to be topped…
They can’t all have mates
Or found perfect dates
But maybe the babies have popped!
They often return in late summer,
The new ones along with old hummers…
A big bullfrog eats
Baby turtles complete,
Now isn’t that one of life’s bummers?
The woman in a turtle found wonder
Even with the poor creature asunder
Crushed down in the tar
He didn’t go far…
Did he have G.P.S., I wonder?
