Have mercy Lord, have mercy on me,

Remembering your steadfast love;

Remember not the sins of my youth,

Lord of Love–have mercy on me!

Cleanse me and poor out your Spirit,

Wash out pride and foolishness…

Take away my arrogant and spiteful ways

Loving Lord let your Spirit fill me.

Saving Lord, have mercy on me,

You’ve revealed my wicked ways…

My sins are with me wherever I go,

My heart purge and set me free!

–

Have mercy oh Lord–forgive

My sins are against you alone…

Only you can take them away,

Have mercy, have mercy on me!
