HOW WE MUTILATE PEACE!~by Rajendra Padhi

They sit in the jungle in windy words sparkle
Glittering and gleaming under the lonely moon,
Words of flame end after clashes to silence
Lifts their guns in bloodless heart to decide fate.

People brimming with joy in market square
The colored lamps adorn their faces in the mart,
The last mystery waits unseen to forge life
Stealing their dreams messenger of death arrives.

I coldly stare at a man soullessly reached for prey
Like a hunter deaf at the sweet cooing of birds,
Every step he moves is a threat to evening star
Few seconds left a bomb to be blown off.

The ungrateful lips surge into a wicked smile
Walked away under the hazy horizon jolting,
The last breath limping in smoke and fire
Police and people assemble in impatient cry.

The night dreamily girdle silence in faces
Rhymes rise in temples, churches for peace,
The hidden assail like tremor of earthquakes
I stay dumb in the grief of human voices.
