Inconsolable~by Neil Perry

Inconsolable

Sadly, she wanders like a ghost,
Pining – for what has passed away,
Longing, for what she loves the most,
Muttering words she dare not pray:

Out in the fields she wanders far
Into the distance of her dream,
Wearing upon her heart a scar –
That nothing mortal can redeem.
