The Box of Death~by Karen King

The Box of Death

She sat drinking her Costa coffee
As reams of poetry
Streamed from her mind
And found their way
Onto Facebook.
She smiled as she ate
Her almond croissant.

She visited a friend
And they looked
At silly videos
On YouTube
And laughed
Whilst sipping tea.

She went home
And answered her emails.
She walked into the room
Where her WiFi was.
The plant nearby was wilting,
The leaves pale and floppy.
Slowly it was dying,
Its life force ebbing away.
The WiFi box blinked in jubilation.

Welcome to the Box of Death!
