HALF THE HUMANITY
A mother of steel with a smile divine
Dares her daughter to a dignified life
Shatter the glass,no glass slippers of lies
An iron will towering in disparity strife.
Society tests her patience at every step
She is considered a woman of depth
Hated for her guts to exercise freedom immense
Educating her with boys crossing the fence.
It is a marathon task to survive
At home when in-laws are not on her side
She will be educated and after a job wed
Do household chores setting dreams aside.
She has to bear and rear children first
The office work and the world will always test
Whether she can manage her inferiority best,
Half of the humanity stands behind the rest.
