Deeds that most likely demand reckoning,
Beset your paths with hackneyed insolence;
Impervious to resonant bargaining,
Enough intense to prevent violence
With a bounteous dose of benevolence:
The wrath of history proves forgiving,
Unless you persist on misbehaving!

The wrath of history needs containment;
Else you risk unleashing a wretched storm.
The likes of which defy known precedent;
In vehemence of both substance and form;
Extant constraints suffice not to conform:
The wrath of history lurks rambunctious;
While it dwindles scarce, best be suspicious!

The give and take of hobnobbing tentative,
Erodes the ramparts of integrity;
Making every citadel subjunctive,
Regardless of outward enormity,
Hedging to reinvent dexterity:
The wrath of history shuns quid pro quo;
Yet tolerates with flare, pay as you go!
