A FACTORY FAMILY

A FACTORY FAMILY

More workers are facing the axe,

Another small layoff impacts

This work family

In business, you see

A tension that working exacts.

Family…those who survive

Each upturn and sales dive…

Seniority counts

Though layoffs may pounce

If a job isn’t reckoned to stay alive.

We hope our old friends stay in touch,

For the years they’ve meant so much…

As time marches on

More of us are gone

We hope our time isn’t rushed.

The purpose of companies remain

For profit and market share to regain…

Like spokes in a wheel

It doesn’t matter how one feels,

But we hope we can be strong when it’s our name.
