I’m Planted Firmly
My life is like an old tree
With its roots running deep
Even though my body is weathered and worn
I get times of refreshing from our Lord
Because I’m grafted firmly into the Vine
Even though I sometimes may sway
With “storms” that attack
I’m planted firmly on the solid Rock
My arms are like branches reaching up
To Father God while praising
In sweet adoration for each victory
Each “storm” of life makes this “tree” stronger
As I’m down on bended knee a little longer
I enjoy receiving from God – a warm embrace
To help me in each trial I face
Jesus is the Shepherd of my soul
And when I”m in need, to Him I gladly go
