GLAD WE SAID GOODBYE~by Harry Job

GLAD WE SAID GOODBYE

I didn’t see it coming
In your cunning
Our lively heart beat
You’ll someday split
Like rose blossoms at rising sun
Will shrivel at dusk when done
You came and ripped my heart
Yet, my dreams fell not apart
– – – – – – – – – –
Your cares, left keys of our home
Never knew it was my doom
Desiring to age in your arm
A prank I felt not in your warm
That the love I’ve always wish
Was your lust that’ll vanish
Your beauty, I saw like stars
And my soul you left with scars
– – – – – – – – – –
Even to your flaws I detest,
Still I saw you as the best
Yet you left for my good
As not a weak to let go, I stood
You’ve learned good to be nice
Yes, I’ve given you a new eyes
An insight to appreciate love
You know’s true, you’re a proof
