Thursday Morning~by rldubour

Thursday Morning

Lord it’s Thursday morning and I have this wicked feeling in my head.
And I’m wishing that I kept myself asleep in that warm bed.
It’s raining outside this morning because she said good-bye.
But tomorrow the sun will shine on me and help me dry my eyes.
She said good-bye to me as she walked out the door.
And I hope I never see her around here anymore.
She’s gone off with someone new and I hope she’s satisfied.
But, yet I feel so all alone with this emptiness inside.

Lord it’s Thursday morning and I’ve got this wicked feeling in my head.
And I’m wishing that I kept myself asleep in that warm bed.
I’m sitting here a thinking, why should I feel so blue.
I think I’ll go and find myself somebody new.
I’ll walk the streets and hope to meet the girl of my dreams.
She’ll stop the rain and heal the pain and patch back up my seams.
I think I found the girl that I’ve been searching for.
Cause Lord it’s Thursday afternoon, I’m not lonely anymore!
